Refresh View¶
Forces Revit to recalculate the model and redraw the current view. Use it when something you've changed isn't showing on screen yet.
At a glance¶
| Runs in | Revit 2024 |
| Ribbon | Integra Tools tab → View Tools panel → Refresh View |
| Works on | The active view |
| Changes | Nothing in the model. It only updates what you see. |
When to use it¶
- A parameter value has changed, but the tags in the view still show the old value.
- Filter colours or lineweights haven't updated after a Sync Templates.
- An element looks out of date after one of the Integra add-ins has updated it.
Step by step¶
- Open the view that isn't displaying correctly.
- On the Integra Tools tab, in the View Tools panel, click Refresh View.
- A View Refresh message confirms it's Complete. Click Close.
How is this different from Revit's own refresh?
Revit's built-in refresh (F5) only redraws the screen. Refresh View first makes Revit recalculate the model, so values that depend on other elements are worked out again, and then redraws the view.
Tip
If the view still looks wrong after a refresh, the problem isn't the display. Check the element's parameters, or the view template and filters.
