Place Service Tag

Tags Fabrication ductwork, pipework and containment one click at a time, like Revit's own tag tool, but with each tag laid out automatically to suit the part: inside the part if it fits, otherwise outside with the right leader.

At a glance

Runs in Revit 2024
Ribbon Integra Tools tab → Tagging Tools panel → Place Service Tag
Works in Plan, section and elevation views
Tags Fabrication ductwork, pipework and containment

Step by step

  1. Open a plan, section or elevation view.
  2. On the Integra Tools tab, in the Tagging Tools panel, click Place Service Tag.
  3. Click each part you want to tag. Each tag is placed straight away.
  4. Press Esc when you've finished.
  5. If any tags need a look, a message lists them by ID, for example a tag that couldn't be centred and was placed outside instead.

Each tag is its own undo step, so Ctrl+Z removes the last one.

What each new tag gets

  • Its fields and width come from your defaults. Set them in Service Tag Settings with nothing selected.
  • Its layout comes from your default Style, which is Auto fit unless you change it. See How tags are laid out.
  • Centre tags go in the middle of the part as seen in the view.
  • Left tags go up and to the right of the part, with their leader attached to it.

Change your defaults before a big tagging session

Before tagging a whole floor, run Service Tag Settings with nothing selected and set the fields, width and style you want. Every tag you place then starts that way, so there's less to change afterwards.
